The race to reach the moon / Adobe CH about Quark7 | publisher.ch 04-06

[German version]

... Back to the future ...

There were times, when a few questions and even fewer answers were enough to quickly win a race…

Lets look back to the year 1961. During the time of the Cold War John F. Kennedy, President of the United States of America from 1961 to 1963, asked his former Moon-Program Specialist a few questions... Do we have a chance against the Russians? Are we able to take humans to the moon and return again safely? Are we working on this goal 24 hours a day? If we aren’t, why not? And if not, submit suggestions to me how we can become faster in order to do so. Are we making the greatest possible progress? Do we use the right technology? Are there alternatives? Do we achieve our goals and how do we do it? ... [From brand eins 06.2004 ]...

As history shows, the Americans won the race to the moon. But by then the Russians long have arrived in space as well and the cold war is part of history.

This is rather unusual with the obvious competitors around. On the part of Adobe CH, it has been concretely dealt with the new functions of Quark 7, such as Composition Zones and the Job-Jackets, which are regarded as a positive impulse for the publishing market. Now it is Adobes turn again...
